Working with two founders, we defined and built a bespoke end-to-end product experience from 0–1 that connects users through shared musical tastes, which we evolved into a scalable and insight-driven platform that had a substantial impact on product direction, user engagement, and investor confidence.
This work directly contributed to the founders securing investment to build and launch the app.
- Identifying opportunities through user and market research. Conducting competitor analysis, user interviews, and surveys to uncover behavioural patterns, motivations, and gaps in the existing dating and music discovery landscape.
- Defining clear problem statements and creating strong hypotheses. Aligning on user needs and business goals to shape a focused product vision, prioritise features effectively, and define a robust MVP while avoiding scope creep.
- Leading an iterative product design process. Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and continuously refining them through usability testing and real user feedback to ensure the product is both intuitive and valuable.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Working with founders, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on priorities, manage expectations, and ensure smooth delivery from concept through to execution.
- Exploring and validating solutions with real users. Running concept and usability testing to answer critical questions such as: Is this valuable? Does this improve meaningful connections? and Does this solve the core user problem?
- Establishing scalable design systems and workflows. Ensuring consistency across the product while enabling faster iteration and efficient handoff to development teams.
